It's like flying!
In a past life (i.e. before the Pumpkin Princess came), I was an avid scuba diver. This is a picture taken in German Channel in Palau. For you non-divers, Palau is an island nation in Micronesia, in the South Pacific. It used to be a German territory, and during that time the Germans blasted a shallow channel through one of the islands for mining, hence the name German Channel. It is known as a spot where you can see manta rays.
The picture is the first manta I ever saw (outside an aquarium tank, that is). When we got married, I told the Pumpkin Daddy that I would have a baby after I had seen a manta. We didn't see any during our honeymoon, so we went to Palau a couple months later. We saw this juvenile black manta the first dive of our first day there.
When we built the Pumpkin Palace, we had a brass relief of this image custom made and placed over our mailbox. I thought it was fitting.
